Holidays in a listed building combines heritage conservation and tourism.
Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats.
The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a revitalised future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building.
The idea is being realised by the "Ferien im Baudenkmal" foundation, which was set up by the Swiss Heritage Society in 2005.
Public transport: Sargans, Buchs SG, or Feldkirch railway station - Take the LieMobil to Vaduz, bus stop Post - Change to the local bus (bus stop "Rotes Haus") The Hofstätte is about 50 metres from the bus stop.
By car: Motorway exit Vaduz - direction Vaduz Zentrum - direction Schloss - Fürst-Franz-Josef-Strasse.
Car park: There is a car park for guests at Hofstätte 35 (access from Fürst-Franz-Josef-Strasse 98) A charging station for electric vehicles is available at the additional guest car park.
You can drive up to the front of the house to unload your luggage.
Number of persons 2-3: 1 bedroom with double bed (180/200), sofa bed (150/200) in the living room.
Season: April to October Short holidays: whole season (min. 3 nights) Outdoor space: garden seating area with furniture.
The garden is shared with the neighbouring flat.
Heating: The flat is heated by central heating.
The dining room can be heated with a wood-burning stove.
Stove / fireplace: Wood-burning stove.
Firewood is available.
